Another designer known for her
unconventional performances is cat suit
queen and ex-punk rocker,
Pam Hogg.
Refusing to ‘sell out’ to the mainstream
fashion industry, the cult designer famed
for her outrageous creations headlined
the Saturday night off-schedule showcase:
Fashion Scout.
Not one to please editors, as usual
Hogg’s front row seats were reserved
for celebrity fans only and what a turn
out with the likes of Jaime Winstone,
Zoe Hardman, Nick Rhodes and Frankie
Sandford. Despite the hour delay,
crowds got more than they bargained
for at Hogg’s show which, of course,
had the expected shock factor of full
frontal nudity and the signature panelled
cat suit, but also some more artistic
development and death. Having been
slated for her predictability Hogg offered
fashion press a little more to think about
in her autumn/winter collection entitled
‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’.
