The Bite Magazine - Spring Summer 2013

Having just left G.I. Joe behind,
Channing Tatum takes on
another action-packed role
in this high paced story fromdirector
Roland Emmerich (Independent Day,
The Day After Tomorrow, 2012). It’s
a classic case of ‘right place at the
right time’ as Tatum’s police officer
John Cale just so happens to be at
the White House when a heavily
armed paramilitary group takes
over the iconic building. With time
ticking away and rapidly running
out, Cale must stop the vigilantes as
well as look out for himself and his
young daughter. Taking your child
to work day was never more badly
timed.
Fortunately for Cale, he’s not
alone. Admirable and more than
able support comes from Secret
Service agents Maggie Gyllenhaal
and James Woods, while the
President is played by none other
than singer and actor Jamie Foxx.
With a pace that never lets up, this
is a classic good old fashioned action
adventure and Tatumproves himself
a more than capable successor to
the John McClane (Die Hard) school
of action heroes.
