Polish car manufacturer Arrinera have

compared their new model, whose name

derives from the legendary Polish Hussars,

to a theatrical play being performed on a

stage, where a rapturous voice, using the

words of Henryk Sienkiewicz’s ‘The Flood’:

“Then something thundered, and there

was a sound as if in a thousand forges men

were beating anvils with hammers {…}

The hussars had given rein to their horses.

O God,what an impetus!” comes booming

out. The revamped design by Polish

manufacturer Arrinera Automotive with

the help of prolific British entrepreneur,

engineer and designer Lee Noble has been

in the making since 2008 and last year they

revealed the finished product.

Driving Capacity

Arrinera says they have devoted 14

months to perfecting the development

of the current design. Dynamic features

include the front of the car being

designed close to the ground

which is said to vastly improve its

aerodynamic properties while the

two air intakes enables cooling

air to be directed onto the hot

brakes. The Polish car-maker is

also overly pleased with the side

view of their debut model. They

say that the Hussarya gives the

impression of being surprisingly

asymmetrical with the passenger

cabin moved forward and the

door lines risen distinctively –

features that you do not see very

often in everyday traffic.

With an amazing acceleration of

3.2 seconds from 0-60 mph with a top

speed of 211 mph and an 8-cylinder

6.2-litre engine with a maximum power of

650HP and 820 Nm torque, the centrally

positioned engine makes the Hussarya an

amazing car to drive. The front wheels

are equipped with 6-piston callipers and

380mm brake discs while the rear is

packed with 4-piston callipers and 350mm

brake discs. The sound that comes from

the engine is smooth, reassuring and the

wide open road for this beauty is for

the taking. Thirty-three units have been

produced so grab one if you can before it

is too late.

Lamborghini’s latest model, the Veneno

was designed as a racing prototype and

road-going supercar tribute to the 50th

anniversary of Automobili Lamborghini

and featured at the Geneva Motor Show

this year. Its design consistently focuses

on optimum aerodynamics and cornering

stability, and although it has racing

properties, it is fully homologated for

the road. With an even more astounding

acceleration of 2.8 seconds from 0-60 mph

and a top speed of 220 mph, the Veneno

is probably the fastest car out there. If

you were thinking of grabbing one of

these, unfortunately, only three units were

produced and have already been sold to

customers.

The Lamborghini Veneno features

a 12-cylinder power unit with a

displacement of 6.5 litres, an extremely

fast-shifting 7-speed ISR transmission with

five driving modes and permanent all-

wheel drive. It also packs a racing chassis

with pushrod suspension and horizontal

spring/damper units and benefits from a

CFRP monocoque, which also encases the

outer skin of this intriguing sports car.The

naming of the new model after one of the

strongest and most aggressive fighting bulls

ever keeps with the tradition of the brand

– the Taurus symbol.

Interior

Inside Poland’s first supercar, you’ll

find high quality leather and composite

materials. As expected in a sports car, the

Hussarya is equipped with an audio system,

power windows and mirrors as well as

air conditioning. A host of other features

include CD/MP3 player, four speakers,

Bluetooth hands-free car kit, remote

control central locking system, power

and heated side mirrors, 3-spoke sports

steering wheel, ergonomic sports front

seats and a leather trimmed dashboard.

The only thing we can say about the

inside of the Veneno is that carbon fibre

dominates the interior, especially in the

area of the central tunnel and the sills.

The two lightweight bucket seats are

made from Lamborghini’s patented Forged

Composite and lightweight woven carbon-

fibre Carbonskin clads the entire cockpit,

part of the seats and the headliner, which

helps to reduce the weight and

increase the driving experience.

Other than that, Lamborghini have

not revealed any more details in

terms of technology, comfort or

sporty enhancements.

Exterior

One of the most awesome

features of the Hussarya is the

optional ‘thermal vision camera’

which monitors the area in front

of the car at the distance of a few

hundred metres. The two spoilers

serve as additional air brakes at

speeds beyond 93 mph, which can be

activated by the brake pedal. At the back of

the car, the unique styling of this supercar

is further enhanced by muffler housings

with diffusers that resemble the exhaust

nozzles of a jet airplane. The chassis

designed by British designer Lee Noble

is made from high-strength steel that is

extraordinarily light and characterised by

high deformation resistance. And, as an

option, the body, interior and floor can be

made from Carbon/Kevlar fibre composite

materials.

The front end of the new Lamborghini

Veneno equally works as a large
