to a diverse industry and sold her on the
power of the catwalk. Now, Holly has
walked for a private Missoni show at Skibo
Castle in the north of Scotland and forThe
Alternative Hair Show in London. When
describing the Missoni catwalk, Holly
suddenly becomes as animated as she is in
front of the camera. Face flushed, she looks
straight into my eyes with an all enchanting
gaze: “The Missoni show was really fun;
the atmosphere in the beautiful castle was
amazing. It is always a privilege to model
such artistic and luxurious clothes that you
would not wear on a day to day basis.” As
Holly waves her arms around dynamically,
I find myself eagerly hanging on each word
imagining each fabric, colour and bead
detail and every sound and smell from the
surrounding castle.
It is clear where Holly’s heart lies: “I love
the runway and the build-up to a show. I get
such a buzz from it. I know a lot of models
do not like all the waiting involved but I
enjoy watching the preparation. I think it
can be difficult for some models because
you will be asked to be able to walk in
some crazy heels or restrictive outfits but
you just need to have the confidence to
pull it off.”
Despite her successes, Holly has
overcome several hurdles during her
journey and has grown into a self-assured,
