I

t was this time last year that theUKas awholeexcitingly counted

down the days, hours, minutes and seconds to the start of the

most momentum and anticipated event of the decade: The

2012 London Olympics and Paralympics Games. This year, we

may not have the same once-in-a-lifetime experience to get

excited about but we do have the arrival of Will and Kate’s royal

baby to look forward to and the finale of Wimbledon 2013 in the first

week of July. Let’s just hope that Andy Murray continues to keep up

the pace and do us proud by winning the crown this time round.

We have designer Tom Ford to thank for the snazzy transformation of

Justin Timberlake. The R&B urban singer who returned to our musical

ears earlier this year certainly has the Rat Pack thing going on with

that suit and tie, and we’re giving the thumbs up to his new look.

Come with us as we take a look back at his earlier solo singing career

and talk about his dynamic come-back studio album The 20/20

Experience. The V&A Museum celebrates the long-standing career of

rock icon David Bowie with an exhibition showing his work and alter-

ego characters including Ziggy Stardust and The Thin White Duke. We

find out what will be happening at the exhibition and why it is sure to

be a winner with die-hard fans.

Costume designer Michael Bush gives us an insight into the real Michael Jackson in his book Michael Jackson:

The King of Style, while Kevin Davies takes us behind the scenes of iconic milliner Philip Treacy over a 20-year

period in the book of the same name. We look at why Margaret Howell stores are so much more than your

average crowded clothes shop and how Alfred Dunhill and Paul Costelloe dresses the distinguished and fashion

conscious gentleman, along with richly-designed men shoes from Herring Shoes. And speaking about shoes,

make sure you check out the ‘Mojito’ shoe from awarding-winning London-based architect Julian Hakes; they

are totally divine!

We enjoyed the gorgeous cuisine of STK Restaurant; a buzzing and exciting eatery based in the The Strand in

London and definitely the place to be. The Bentley Flying Spur and the Rolls Royce Wraith war it out in the Battle

of Britain at the Geneva Motor Show (well not quite) and we also have a wonderful car surprise for you. Read

our second car feature to find out more. We also celebrate 50 years of Lamborghini with a picture gallery of their

Grand Tour through the hills of Italy.

With so much more to feast your eyes, we’ll leave you to enjoy

this issue in its entirety.

See you next time!
