The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2026 - Issue 39

F LO’s latest single ‘Don’t Break Her Heart’ arrives as a bright, warning‑shot love letter to sisterhood, pulled from their second album Therapy At The Club. Reuniting with producer Julian Bunetta and song‑ writer Steph Jones, the trio channel their signature blend of warmth and steel, offering a melodic caution to any‑ one who might mishandle their girls. In Troy Roscoe’s playful video, they run a tongue‑in‑cheek investigative agency, exposing an unfaithful man with the same precision they bring to their harmonies. As they put it, the track is their “favourite sisterhood anthem,” showing how fiercely they protect one another. The single builds momentum toward Therapy At The Club, a concept album that reframes the club as a place of confession and emotional release, tracing the arc of a night out from anticipation to aftermath. Written with collaborators including Amy Allen, Boy Matthews, Skippz, Oak Felder and Sevyn Streeter, the record leans into dark, euphoric R&B and diaristic pop, exploring desire, heartbreak, confidence and healing with FLO’s increasingly hands‑on approach to songwriting and production. For the trio, the club is a kind of communal refuge: “where else do you feel more understood than in a girl’s bathroom on a night out,” and the album reflects that intimacy. The rollout has already included a cinematic trailer and the title track, first performed on their acclaimed NPR Tiny Desk, following the success of lead single ‘Leak It’, their highest‑charting solo release in the UK with more than nine million video views in under a month. It caps a historic year for the British R&B group: their debut album Access All Areas earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album, the first for a British girl group in two decades, alongside a MOBO win for Best R&B/Soul Act and a record‑setting US headline tour. www.flolikethis.com Image courtesy of Alex J Piper via Satellite-414
