bitecatwalk FASHION WEEK LONDON Spring/Summer 2025 M arking a significant presence in British and Chinese fashion on the global stage, Con- sistence debuted its first-ever womenswear collection at London Fashion Week under the prestigious Hu Bing Selects showcase. Curated by international style icon and ambassador Hu Bing, this platform celebrates excellence in Chi- nese design, and Consistence delivered a masterclass in restrained, intelligent craftsmanship. Founded in London in 2015 by Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion graduates Tien Lu and Fangfang, the brand has long embraced architectural tailoring and minimalist construction. With its presence in Milan growing from an invitation by Giorgio Armani in 2022 to a coveted closing slot at Shanghai Fashion Week, Consistence has steadily built credibility and public recognition. This year’s Spring-Summer 2025 collection, titled ’Useless but Fabulous’, further developed this philosophy. Subtle and cerebral, it contrasted strength and delicacy, struc- ture and fluidity, visibility and the unseen. The designers drew inspiration from overlooked design components, such as hidden seams, internal linings, and utilitarian fastenings, and brought them to the forefront. These typ- ically functional aspects were reinterpreted as aesthetic focal points, featuring exposed inner layers, asymmetric pleats, and architectural folds that created movement from within. The collection felt profoundly modern and gently subver- sive. The palette was dominated by pale sand tones, soft greys, and muted greens layered in organic textures that shifted with light and motion. Cropped blazers floated over voluminous culottes, while sheer panels subtly re- vealed the structured underpinnings. Sleeves and collars played with proportion, achieving a balance that was nei- ther exaggerated nor minimalist but precisely in between. The evolution of fashion is truly captivating! Their previous collections paved the way for something fresh and exciting in a delightful turn of events. Launch- ing their womenswear line, the designers introduced a gentle softness that beautifully complemented their archi- tectural roots. The collection is designed for women who move through life intentionally to seek understanding rather than validation and embrace traditional feminin- ity and complexity. Witnessing such depth and maturity in a debut womenswear collection is impressive. Every piece was a thoughtful exploration of style rather than a fleeting trend.
