bitejewellery AU79 FINE JEWELLERY Like most jewellery designs, it takes time to construct them. “Every piece is different,” Stephanie echoed. “Some pieces are designed in one or two days. For some pieces, we go back and edit them, even months later, and some do not make it to production. Some- times, when you have an idea, it’s not always easy to put it onto paper.” Every piece starts with a concept that is turned into a sketch. “Sometimes the ideas change when making the pieces from paper to gold, and visuals can change.” AU79’s Half & Half Bracelet with the rolo and cable in 14-karat yellow gold features the signature rough tex- ture on the ring clasp, where you can add charms and pendants. It can also be dressed up and down with one link. For layering, the Rock Bangle in 14-karat yellow gold adds a piece of the Mediterranean to your collec- tion. A mimic of the sea waves, Wave Bangle in the same gold with a hinged opening wraps around your wrist and provides a snapshot of the rough seas. Opearl Earring in lab-grown opal and freshwater pearl connects the two stones in the signature finish. The stunning Rock Stud in 14-karat white or yellow gold with a butterfly pin closure represents the natural texture of the Mediterranean stone. Like the flowing water crashing and falling off the rocks, the Mismatch Earring in lab-grown opal has a distinctive shape. The Square Earring embellished with a rhodonite gem- stone is inspired by Stephanie’s grandfather, who wore a beautiful large, square signet ring. Make room for happy tears with the Ocean Tears Necklace, whose blue topaz stone is inspired by the brand’s love for the ocean. “It represents the good feelings one gets when smelling the ocean.” The Dusk to Dawn Necklace with lab-grown opals shows three shades of the sky as it moves through its cycle, and the Opal Beach Pendant, embellished with diamond and lab-grown opal, takes you to the beach. Pebble Neck- lace with pave set diamonds mimic the beautiful salt rocks and pebbles. Built between 3600 BC and 2500 BC, the Maltese tem- ples are believed to be the remains of the megalithic age, where women were worshipped as goddesses. The Dolmen Ring in 14-karat gold and diamond is Steph- anie’s interpretation of the Dolmen structure with the mould imprinted from one of the actual structures. Oval Coast Ring embellished with a sky blue topaz gemstone is inspired by the coastal surroundings of the Mediterranean, and the Signet Ring in red garnet, blue topaz or citrine dates back to 3500 BC and signi- fies individuality, status and family heirlooms.
