The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2023 - Issue 33

bitejewellery With a background in fine jewellery working with major international brands, Stephanie has been designing for three years, but the brand officially launched in 2022. “At first, I wasn’t sure what I was doing, but I enjoyed it, so I kept at it, and before you knew it, we had a collection,” she confessed. “The process was rather long but certain- ly fun.” She has loved jewellery since she was a little girl, watching her mother put on her beautiful pieces at the weekend and allowing her to try them on. She studied Art History and has an MA in Luxury Man- agement which enhances her artistically crafted pieces. “Studying art exposed me to some amazing works of art, and it gave me considerable inspiration from greats like Picasso and Matisse. Whereas the luxury management degree prepared me for the business side, which is equal- ly important.” Exposed to exceptional jewellery pieces working with renowned brands has made the designer admire and appreciate these specially crafted creations. Stephanie endeavours to transmit the right message in her jewellery and relate to her clientele. She loves meeting interesting people from all walks of life and clients who are excited and interested in jewellery. She revealed her brand’s design signature is in the finish. “Every piece is finished in a rough texture representing the rough stones of the Mediterranean.” The first piece she designed was a pendant. “It felt so natural when I was designing it, and I knew this would be one of the main pieces of the collec- tion.” Photography: Tony Wellington Model: Indre @ Genetics Agency
