Last year, their SS21 unisex collection showcased vintage classic silhouettes with a modern twist, reimagining the classic mac and trench coat in black, navy blue, brick red and ice coffee tan. The oversized trench coat reflects the traditional silhouette intro- duced in 1901, and the mac coat, inspired by the Macintosh coat developed by Scot- tish inventor Charles Macintosh and first sold in 1824. They also collaborated with Argentinian sustainable designer Garcia Bello to create an upcycled rainwear collection from recy- cled plastic. The capsule saw Bello reima- gine Maium’s raincoats into a skirt, a pon- cho, waist and tote bags, two jackets and a body warmer. “The collaboration between Maium and Garcia Bello is a tribute to all sustainable design practices and an attempt to inspire and set an example for brands on how to deal with post-consumer products and rethink fashion product life cycles.” Garcia Bello’s concept originated in Tierra del Fuego province, in the south of Argen- tina, by Juliana Garcia Bello, who graduated in Clothing Design from the FADU (Facul- ty of Architecture, Design and Urban Plan- ning) at UBA International. The brand was later established in La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2017, in her grandmother's dining room, Dora Duba's house. In Octo- ber 2019, the brand moved to Arnhem, in the eastern part of the Netherlands. The AW22 collection consists of apparel like the unisex long-fit Padded Duffle in black, iced coffee, or navy blue, a fully waterproof coat inspired by the traditional duffel. It’s made from 99 recycled plastic bottles, ve- gan, cruelty and PFC-free, with taped seams, signature side zippers for poncho function, a two-way waterproof front zipper covered with a storm flap, and a hood with adjusta- ble court stops. The high collar protects the mouth and nose with a zipper garage and extra long cuffs with a thumb hole. Similarly, the long oversized fit Puffer in army green, black or dark blue grey has the same features with the addition of biode- gradable PU coating and recycled PET pad- ding. The Mac, designed for movement in black, iced coffee, navy blue, shale (grey) or smoked paprika, is the first authentic, wa- terproof raincoat. It’s made from organic cotton, and 88 recycled plastic bottles, has a hood with adjustable court stops at the front and back, adjustable cuffs, and ventilation holes in the armpits. The Mac Padded in army green, black, bur- gundy, iced coffee, shale or smoked paprika has all the makings of the original Mac with
