From hunting the men who broke into his home and stole priceless things, including the puppy, his late wife gave him in John Wick. Being forced back to his old life to fulfil a blood oath to an Italian crime lord in JW2 and going on the run from a legion of assassins after a bounty is placed on him in JW3, he has had quite the ride. Chad Stahelski continues his directorship in this fourth instalment which sees Wick having to earn his freedom by facing a new enemy, the Marquis Gramont, a man with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes. Keanu Reeves’ Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane and Lance Reddick reprise their roles while Bill Skarsgård, the world’s scariest clown, Pen- nywise from It, plays the charming but dangerous Marquis and Donny Chen is blind High Table assassin Caine. The release of John Wick Chapter 4 was initially set for May 2021 but was delayed due to the pandemic and Reeves’ commitments with The Matrix Resurrections.
