The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2022 - Issue 31

bitecatwalk D aniel Del Core's Spring-Summer 2022 collection emerges from the tranquil sky blue ether-like couture angles in the mist and is expertly paired with his runway's heaven-like aesthetic at the Palazzo del Ghi- accio (Ice Palace) in Milan. It was all wholly divine. Provided this is only the talented young designer’s second presented collection, it goes without saying that this 31-year-old German-born, Italian-based fashion nova has a bright future (and hopefully, highly successful career) still ahead of him. Established in 2020, Del Core was built on producing refined silhouettes and constructed pieces that lend themselves entirely to what inspires the label's unique looks: the expressive beauty, rareness and metamorphism found in nature. The designer has an impressive fashion resumé that includes a degree from Milan's IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) and internships at Dolce & Gabbana and Versace. He also worked for Zuhair Murad in Paris and Beirut and then relocated to Rome to work at Gucci under Alessandro Michele, where he was in charge of the VIP department. All of this luxury fashion experience led him to begin his label and establish his atelier in the heart of Milan. Here, Del Core, and his team of 30 work to bring his visions to sartorial life! His ideas and love of wild and extraordinary plants, moulds and algae, which he saw during his trips to exotic and myste- rious places like an ancient rain forest in Costa Rica, translates the organic into the disparate form of wearable fashions.
