bitefilms ike every Hollywood studio, Universal was forced to shake up the release calendar during the lockdown.The highly anticipated film 355 originally set to be released in January this year, got pushed back a whole year and will now be debuting on 7 January 2022. 355, an upcoming American action spy film, is a female-led heist thriller starring Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o, Diane Kruger, Penélope Cruz and Fan Bingbing, just to name a few. It is written by three talented Hollywood scriptwriters Theresa Rebeck, Simon Kinberg, Bek Smith, and directed by Simon Kinberg. The globetrotting espionage thriller follows a group of international spies who team up to stop a potentially world-altering event when a top-secret weapon falls into mercenary hands. A wild card CIA agent, Mason ‘Mace’ Brown (Jessica Chastain), joins forces with three inter- national agents rival badasses: German agent Marie (Diane Kruger), former MI6 ally and cut- ting-edge computer specialist Khadijah (Lupita Nyong’o), and skilled Colombian psychologist Graciela (Penélope Cruz) on a lethal mission to retrieve it. If that wasn’t enough, they will have to stay a step ahead of mysterious woman Lin Mi Sheng (Fan Bingbing), who’s tracking their every move. Together, the five women form a faction called ‘355’, a nod to the assembly of female spies that were united during the Amer- ican Revolution. A story of highly skilled female spies from the international community that team up and come together to save the world can only mean one thing - lots of glamour, action, and spy thriller inspired twist plots by the A-list Hol- lywood actresses.
