The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2020 - Issue 27
T his Spring/Summer 2020, push- BUTTON landed from their galaxy in a pursuit to understand the human race, and adapted this sea- son’s womenswear to offer their twist on the 21st century. Think ‘The Fifth Element’ with fashion’s love for the ‘90s. The label presented their collection of hyper futuristic looks that will keep us looking fresh this spring. Taking the traditionally tailored blazer and developing this into a petal-shaped waist paired with a matching uniform skirt and positively alien blue eyeshadow that ac- centuated the brow and cheekbones of the first model set the tone of pushBUTTON’s collection. The South Korean brand served us asymmet- ric business trousers paired with a dishev- elled checker blue and white shirt. These were styled with clear, black-rimmed goggles. The look in its entirety twisted what we perceive business attire to be and gave it the freedom to play with forms in the warmer seasons. Nineties’ shoulder pads lifted the blazers and plaid tops that made suggestions of sci-fi army costumes. This link can also be seen in their oval pocket designs that added an extra element of practicality to their street-style. The label played with variating silhouettes and textures, from a beaming neon yellow unitard to a two-tier pleated dress – the col- lection offered one to experiment with their steps through the past, present and more importantly, future! https://pushbutton.co.kr PUSH BUTTON bite catwalk FASHION WEEK LONDON Spring/Summer 2020
