bite catwalk HOGG PAM F or this season at LFW, Pam Hogg invited us into her home of extravagance to welcome in her Spring/Summer 2020 col- lection. Hogg’s shows have come to have their deserved name in London Fashion Week. The designer demanded the ulti- mate level of attitude from her models and we saw some returns from previous seasons. Hogg enjoyed the familiarity her collections has with her audience and the absolute signature style she has had since day one. Drawing themes from the era of Marie Antoinette, with towering headpieces that allowed an elaboration of her SS20 collection appropriately titled ‘Best in Show: Poodle Power’. Gold decorated headdresses elongated the models to the sky and presented them as her prized poodles for an eager audience. Two models pranced and strut down the runway, one as Little Bo-Peep and the other, leading like one of her leath- er sheep. The designer toyed with ide- ologies of dominance and submission within her collection, using theatrical models and her designs to break the boundaries we have set in society. We saw the rosette throughout Hogg’s collection, an item typically known for being presented to the winners of con- tests. Taking the rosette and running with it, the extremely punk designer created entire pieces with the badge, covering only the nipples and crotch area of her first model.
