Barbour B arbour presented its latest AW16 Heritage Col- lection recently, and as always, it paid homage to its seaside roots with a collection boasting rustic nautical traits.This collection draws much of its inspira- tion from the iconic and historical 1882 lighthouse that stands watch over the mouth of the river Tyne. As such, the line features an array of innovative technical fabrics, pockets and zip detailing with a black colour palette. Sticking with tradition, this line cleverly mixes its tried and true designs with modernity in everything from its jackets to its footwear, mainly centring on slimmer silhouettes, sleek tailoring and simple, straightforward styles by layering knits and wools with puffer jackets and flannel coats. bitemen Christopher Raeburn R emaining true to his aesthetic, Christopher Raeburn presented an AW16 collection full of amazing knitwear, woollen and flannel outerwear, crazy long scarves, and some fun graphic prints thrown in for good measure. And also true to form some quirky, if not all together whacky pieces - one in particular that resembled an upset-fluffed out pigeon. However, I found the collection fun and upbeat, something not only hip hipster could wear, but also pieces that would find themselves right at home in more traditional wardrobes with its clean and tailored lines.
