The Bite Magazine - Spring 2016 - Issue 15

bitemen I f I could wear any label/collection from this sea- son’s shows, it would be from the extremely talented Joshua Kane. I mean, in one word: WOW! I swooned, swooned over this collection! From the strong opening looks in rich burgundy (can we just talk about look #2? That coat is beyond amazing!) Then, the marching order con- tinued with bold tartan plaid pieces, followed by mixed looks of polka dots, checks, houndstooth, herringbone, and more plaid along with chunky knits, insanely cool fedoras and leather bag acces- sories. The show then launched from these more businessmen centered ensembles into the stars of the line, Mr. Kane’s evening wear of impeccably tailored tuxedos of gold jacquard and deep ruby velvet. So chic, so romantic, so unbelievably posh, I wanted to stand and applaud as they walked by. However, the show went on to lapse back into more elevated urban casual looks in deep noirs and tiny black and white houndstooth printed suits with accents of luxurious fur. Then, as if this weren’t enough, he launched his finale pieces, a graphic printed suit and overcoat of three dashing gen- tlemen searching out perhaps the next big trend? Either way, Joshua Kane is a master designer of men’s bespoke fashion, taking brilliant and expert tailoring and classic designs and making them livable, wearable, and above all proving that high fashion needn’t be stuffy, but humorous and fun. “It’s all about quality.” (Everything from the initial designs to the fabrication of the fabrics were all made in the UK.) I sincerely hope his lines will con- tinue to delight and titillate the masses for years to come. Fashion Editor’s Loved Looks: ALL OF THEM!!! I have to say, that finale printed overcoat will need to somehow make it into my own wardrobe as soon as possible! Joshua Kane Click here to watch Joshua Kane’s Catwalk Show
