aerodynamic wing. It uses large channels
to guide the air to the outlets in the front
hood, the windshield, and to the front
wheels.The most notable characteristic
is the Y-shaped angular headlamps that
reach well into the fenders as well as
the scissor doors. At the rear of this
prototype, the underbody transits
into a substantial diffuser framing the
four sizeable exhaust pipes, divided
by a splitter to increase the level
of downforce peak. The rear lights,
including brake lights, indicator lights
and fog lights also take on the Y-shaped
theme. Using the economical carbon-
fibre monocoque, the Veneno at 1,450
kilograms (3,190 pounds) is 125 kilos
(275 pounds) than the already lean
Aventador.
TheVerdict
Whilst it has been compared to the
Lamborghini Murcielago, the Arrinera
Hussarya is indeed striking, impressive
and eye-catching, and has proved to be
a big step forward in Poland’s ascension
in making supercars. Available to buy
at the end of 2013, the Hussarya at a
cost of around $160,000, is marginally
cheaper than the Lamborghini Veneno
whose staggering price tag of $4.6
million didn’t stop the three units being
snapped up quickly. Arrinera CEO
Lukasz Tomkiewicz said: “The Arrinera
Hussarya was created for automobile
enthusiasts with a passion for fast and
beautiful cars. For enthusiasts searching
for intense emotions and a massive
dose of adrenaline combined with the
practically for everyday solutions.With
just a little extravagance mixed in for
good measure.” From witnessing how
this supercar performs on the open
road, the Arrinera CEO has knocked it
firmly on the head.
The Lamborghini Veneno is also a
strikingly impressive car, its rare beauty
captures your heart instantly and you
can’t help gawking at its overly defined
design. The model shown exclusively
at the Geneva Motor Show this year,
painted in an all-new grey metallic with
individual parts gleaming in the black
of the visible carbon-fibre was the only
model to display all three colours of
the Italian flag, which will remain at
Lamborghini. The three units already
sold to customers unfortunately will
not get this unique design but instead
each one will feature a single colour of
the Italian national flag, the trilogy of
green, white and red accents.
