his is where J-Lo stays when she’s
in town, and it’s easy to see how
the bold décor and lashings of

cool appeals to the A-listers. Located in
downtown Brickell on the edge of the
financial district, the Viceroy Miami is a
short drive from South Beach, Coconut
Grove, Coral Gables, the Design District
and other Miami attractions, plus a handy
15 minute taxi ride from the international
airport.
The 148 guestrooms are put together
by renowned interior designer Kelly
Wearstler, and come with modern four-
poster beds and huge floor to ceiling marble
bathrooms. The vibe is contemporary
Asian, with lacquered, leather and silk
furnishings and a sumptuous palette of
emerald green, onyx and slate against
heavy dark wood furniture.
The Philippe Starck designed spa was
a personal favourite of mine, and the vast
28,000 square foot space contains a 5000
sq ft water lounge with a floating library,
