Games final in Copenhagen where she
met like-minded people with their own
business ideas from all around Europe.
Born and bred in Stoke Newington,
the nice part of north London where
“everybody’s trendy and into vintage, and
has their own individual style,” Cleo adds
with strong conviction, “We don’t like
the stuff that’s on the high street because
it’s all the same thing and everybody’s
wearing it.” With a design signature
simply described as‘CAKE’,Cleo says the
best thing about being a fashion designer
is “the public response and recognition
of our work.” Being an independent
woman and creator of something new,
with celebrity endorsement is one of
the accomplishments Cleo is really
proud of, as well as being featured in
the
Hackney Citizen
newspaper on two
occasions, various magazines and a
fashion show funded by the Hackney
Youth Opportunity Fund, and taking
part in t-shirt printing projects which
inspired her to come up with her own
line of trendy t-shirts, crop tops, vest,
maxi-dresses, skirts and accessories all
inspired by Cake.

her first article of clothing was at her
