The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2026 - Issue 39
bitenewmusic aint Harison’s new EP ghosted arrives as an eight‑track plunge into the emotional blur of a relationship fading in and out of view, written by Saint and shaped from a palette of R&B, soul, indie, doo‑wop and pop. Recent singles ‘ghosted’, ‘bad’, ‘glass houses’ and ‘stuck’ sketched early outlines of its mood, but the full project reveals a deeper arc of longing, confusion, self‑reckoning and acceptance. Songs like ‘stuck’ and ‘minute’ trace the ache of holding on too tightly, while ‘daffodil’ and ‘white to a wedding’ expose Saint at his most lyrically bare. For the first time, he also co‑produces several tracks, tightening the project’s intimate, cohesive feel. He builds the EP with collaborators including D’Mile, Akeel Henry, Ilsey Juber, Nova Wav, Daoud, Yakob, and Boy Mat‑ thews. Yet, the centre of gravity remains his voice and per‑ spective. ‘stuck’, written with Ilsey and produced by D’Mile and Henry, anchors the project with early‑2000s R&B tension: eerie strings, pulsing bass, and the push‑and‑pull of unresolved love. Saint describes ghosted as his most honest work yet, a collection built from late nights, spirals, healing and growth, with each track a chapter he had to live through to write. To mark the release, he unveiled a live visual for ‘daffodil’, directed by Darrin James, an intimate performance steeped in doo‑wop warmth and ache, capturing the longing for someone who keeps slipping out of reach. With co‑signs from Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Sam Smith, SZA, Elton John, Kehlani and Stevie Wonder, Saint Harison has become a standout voice defined by emotional clarity and restraint. His debut EP, lost a friend, surpassed 200 mil‑ lion streams, bolstered by a viral COLORS performance, a Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance, and recognition as Apple Music’s global Up Next artist. Drawing from Amy Wine‑ house, Frank Ocean, Roy Orbison, Billie Eilish, Whitney Houston and Jazmine Sullivan, he continues to refine a gen‑ re‑fluid sound rooted in vulnerability and lived experience. https://saintharison.com Saint Harison Image courtesy of Petros Studio via Satellite-414 daffodil
