The track marks the fourth single from her upcoming debut album, set to arrive in 2026, and comes with a striking new visualiser. Raw and vulnerable, ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ dives into the emotional aftermath of manipulation and control. The song confronts the painful reality of being groomed under the false disguise of love and care, a topic rarely spoken about so openly in music. The Boston-raised, Los Angeles-based singer, drummer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, whose real name is Marisa Kouroubacalis, explained the story behind the track. “‘Stockholm Syndrome’ is about surviving child grooming and CSA, the kind of manipulation that disguis- es itself as care. It reflects the moment when your bounda- ries, your voice, and your instincts have all been blurred by someone you trusted. This song is me finally naming what happened and refusing to carry it quietly anymore.” Blending classic R&B, smooth neo-soul, and sharp pop hooks, Dynamyte turns pain into power. Her soulful voice and precise rhythms give the story weight and honesty, showing strength through vulnerability. Already making headlines with previous releases like ‘Checkmate’, ‘Proba- bly’, and ‘Picket Fence Life’, the singer has appeared on Los Angeles and Southern California news channel KTLA , and been featured in publications such as The Blast, Atwood Magazine, and TMRW Magazine. With over 350 live shows to her name and past perfor- mances opening for stars like Ariana Grande, Christina Perri, and Cody Simpson, she’s carving out her place as one of the most authentic new voices rising from Boston to Los Angeles. Looking ahead, Dynamyte will continue releas- ing new music through early 2026, building momentum toward her debut album. Fans can expect live performanc- es, media appearances, and powerful visual content that showcase the depth of her story and sound. www.dynamyte.com
