The Bite Magazine - Autumn/Winter 2025 - Issue 38

bitefashion RAVEN London and Paris Fashion Week presentations earlier this season were moments of revelation. Models moved through light like migrating birds, their silhouettes ex- panding and collapsing in rhythm with the sound of wind and heartbeat. In Taipei, the show took on a ceremonial tone. It opened with motion, modern dancers dressed in feathered black garments, their movements echoing the tremor of wings. The choreography mimicked the feeling of freedom and weight in the moment before flight, when gravity still pulls. From the first step, it was clear that this was not merely a collection but a story told through movement, light, and breath. The garments themselves carry that same duality. Kuo reimagines the classic houndstooth pattern by splicing it with indigenous totemic geometry, abstracting the raven’s flight into rhythmic angularity. This technical and sym- bolic feat makes the pattern appear to flutter across fabric, mimicking the dynamic motion of wings. Colour plays an equally narrative role with olive green representing secre- cy and intelligence, fiery red evoking the light of creation, and silent grey suggesting the space where time folds into memory. These shades shift and shimmer as the wearer moves, as if the garments themselves are alive with myth.
