The Bite Magazine - Autumn/Winter 2025 - Issue 38
bitefashion Mia Zhang reflects on Taiwan designer Wie Kuo’s ‘RAVEN’ fashion show and the concept behind the introduction of feathers. A t a time when fashion often chases specta- cle for its own sake, INF offers a profound vision that unfolds like a ritual. For AW25, the Taiwanese label presents ‘Raven’, a collection that drifts between mythology and modernity, turning ancient stories into living forms. Under the direction of designer Wei Kuo, INF continues its ascent as one of Asia’s most philosophically charged fashion houses, where each garment becomes an ar- tefact and poses the questions: How do we remem- ber? How do we evolve? The collection takes its name and soul from the raven, a creature that exists across mythologies as a messenger and a mystery. In the folklore of Taiwan’s Rukai tribe, the raven is a sacred symbol and guide, a creator and a witness. In Nordic legend, it flies as Odin’s eyes; in Greek myth, it carries prophecy and truth. Wei Kuo gathers these threads and weaves them into a singular narrative, not an ethnographic borrowing, but a conversation between worlds. Not bound by any one tradition, his ‘Raven’ becomes an emblem of knowledge and transformation, a crea- ture that soars above the line dividing the natural and the divine. INFDARK DESIGNER PROFILE
