bitefashion Ludovic de Saint Sernin L udovic de Saint Sernin doesn’t just refe- rence the world of dance; he immerses himself in it, embracing its rhythm to advance his ongoing dialogue between sensuality and discipline. Born in Brussels and raised in Paris, he graduated from I’ESAA Duperré and worked for prominent fashion houses before launching his eponymous label in 2017. He quickly gained recognition for his sensual, individuality-driven approach to fashion and his gender-neutral design philosophy. Drawing inspiration from the expressive style of German dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch, the poise of ballet dancer and cho- reographer Rudolf Nureyev, and the sculptural gaze of American photographer Robert Map- plethorpe, his collection examines the body as both stage and performance. Bausch‘s work is captivating, with a tension between grace and provocation.
