The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2025 - Issue 37
bitebeauty To make it quick, swap the brushes between applications. The smaller the area, the smaller the brush, and vice versa: going from the blusher brush for cheeks and contouring with cinnamon and chocolate to a small eye shadow blending brush for the crease on the eye area. An- other clean blending brush would be used for the lighter, shimmery pink champagne and a small flat eyeshade brush on the mobile lid in the pink and peach shades. It produces an easily blended powder that adds colour and shape to your make-up. My favourite eyeliner is Unlimited Precision Automatic Eyeliner & Khol by Kiko Milano. This retractable pencil doesn’t need a sharpen- er, as it has a thinner small tip applicator at the back, which is a bless- ing. It is super soft, thin enough to create the slimmest lining, and the colour is very black. It is long-lasting, pigment-rich, non-smudging, and easy to glide on the delicate eye area. Its soft cushion band gives it an easy grip that helps you hold it tight, especially when rushing. The sponge blender at the other end of the pencil helps smooth out and blend the liner to make it symmetrical. When in a rush, I often use the same pencil blender to re-touch my eyebrows and add colour and shape, meaning my eyebrows are sorted quickly! That is how ver- satile this eyeliner pencil is. I finish my eye make-up with Barry M’s fantastic waterproof That Is How I Roll mascara. It recreates curled and lifts the lashes upwards and outwards for an ultimate volume effect. I love the intensity of the black shade, and the waterproof for- mula is also effective. It’s suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. The final stage of my quick daily routine is the lips. This part is the most crucial part for me. This summer, I love the new delicious Hy- drabalm lip treatment from Cosmetics a la Carte, a fantastic and lux- urious night treatment for lips. It delivers softer, fuller-looking lips and smoother lines, infused with cocoa butter, rose hip, vitamin E, and collagen. Hydrabalm is available in Sugar, a frosted pink petal and Ice, a sheer mauve hue, and can be used daily as a delicate, soft, sheer tinted balm that keeps lips supple and beautifully hydrated. There is also a natural Rose, a non-tinted balm for nude, glossy lips that feel like silk, with a delicious but delicate scent of roses. These ultra-moisturising balms add an extra sheen on top of lip- stick, especially matte. I love using the balm at night, and on top of my latest lipstick discovery, Rouge Carving Lipstick by Catkin. This long-lasting, moisturising, semi-matte lipstick mimics the natural pigmentation of lip colours, resulting in a comfortable, lightweight, non-smudging soft texture. It’s enriched with vitamin E, chinensis and alba seed oils, delivering a smooth and flawless finish. I love the richness of the vibrant and intense pigments. My morning choice is Pink Guava, a pink-to-red shade, or Lotus, a natural brown pink. The lipstick is a work of art, with a stunning sculpted micro engraving enclosed in a magnetic buckle closure and a beautifully embossed case. It’s available in 24 gorgeous shades, from matte and semi-matte to moisturising finish, making it the perfect finishing touch to any make-up look. Finally, my daily make-up routine is complete and done in no time. I can happily face the world and carry on with the rest of my day. www.kikocosmetics.com/en-gb www.annabelleminerals.com www.cosmeticsalacarte.com www.catkin.com www.seventaimage.com www.barrym.com
