Inspired by the aerodynamic concepts employed in Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship, the supercar's front end develops 460 kg of total downforce at 250 km/h. The re- cumbent racing driving position allows for a chassis with a high centre keel. At the same time, the cooling system layout frees up the entire central portion of the vehicle, maximising the space usable for other functions. The body-coloured central volume of the nose acts as the principal plane of the front wing. The two flaps inside the S-Duct follow the main profile to com- plete the triplane wing configuration with curvatures and blow- er slots inspired by the 499P. The triplane harmoniously working with the S-Duct and the high central keel is essential for the aer- odynamic efficacy of the front of the vehicle, minimising air- flow blockage towards the wing and maximising performance. Airflow from the underbody and bumper undergoes vertical expansion and is redirected within the duct towards the front bonnet. The rear wing allows the F80 to adapt to any possible dynamic conditions monitored and evaluated in real-time by the vehi- cle control systems. During acceleration or a speed and steering angle, the system determines the optimal blend of downforce, aerodynamic balance, drags and tells the active suspension and active aero systems to implement the ideal attitude.
