Acceptance Letter Studio J akeyoung Shim, the visionary designer behind Acceptance Letter Studio, draws inspiration from the diverse tapestry of individuals found at airports. This melting pot of styles and personalities inspired the brand’s SS24 collection, aptly named ‘Kiss and Fly 2.0’. The collection featuring over 20 unique looks revolved around the innovative use of Tencel, a lightweight poplin, and recycled jersey fabric. The Twin Shirt series stole the spotlight with its versatile and understated appearance, allowing endless styling possibilities. This season, a striking combination of burgundy and blue tones took centre stage, harmonised by a thoughtful colour palette. In keeping with the brand’s commitment to sustainability, the collection breathed new life into recycled and redesigned designs from previous seasons. Collaborating with local European brands known for their innovation and sustainability, Acceptance Letter Studio paired its outfits with accessories and footwear from Trippen Berlin, Leinz Eyewear, and Vibe Harsløf Jewellery. Since its inception in 2021, Acceptance Letter Studio has promoted gender neutrality in fashion. The brand challenges and recontextualises traditional women’s clothing, offering a fresh perspective on style and identity. Making its second appearance at Berlin Contemporary, the brand’s show at Cherie Studio promised to be an immersive experience. Jakeyoung enlisted the talents of performance artist Bully Fae Collins to merge the collection with a captivating stage presence. This collaboration aimed to convey the narrative of the looks freshly and innovatively, charming audiences with its blend of fashion and performance art. The brand continues to push the boundaries of fashion, redefining gender norms and championing sustainability with each collection. With ‘Kiss and Fly 2.0’, Jakeyoung invited us to embrace diversity and individuality in style and life. https://acceptanceletterstudio.eu bitecatwalk Redefining Gender Neutrality and Sustainability
