The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2024 - Issue 35
bitefashion RACHEL HUNT-PEARCE Punchy, cheeky, and full of flair, Rachel mixed coral reef and grey denim attire. The collection consisted of a denim suit, top, and trousers. Intricate bow ties on some of the outfits and a fantastic denim dress with puffed sleeves added a nice touch to the look of the three outfits in this awe-inspiring collection. ALICE INGLEBY Alice has used her skills since learning embroidery techniques in the summer of 2020. One of her aims this summer was to build upon her artistry and gain more knowledge in crochet to take that expe- rience into her third year. Her red collection was created using knitwear techniques inspired by the marvellous work of Yayoi Kusama. The bodysuit’s making process featured many of her crochet piec- es, and the designs were completely organic. “Each garment starts with an initial vision. After creating the main body, I love to have creative free- dom over adding texture, interesting shapes and depth to each piece. This process can take a simple garment to the next iconic level.” https://www.bcu.ac.uk BIRMINGHAM CITY
