Rayan Al Sulaim- ani, who took over running the label from her mother, cre- ator, founder and businesswoman Mouza Al Awfi, proved she knows a thing or two about operating a prosperous company. Based in Dubai and renamed to show honour to her grand- mother and Omani heritage, Atelier Zuhra has since been a massive player in the high-end luxury couture world. This most recent collection showcased a wide range of everything from the long and flirty sequinned and embroi- dered to the statement-making ball gowns with dramatic slits, cutouts, and draping with feathers and trimming de- tails that all have been expertly tailored and fit. It has to be one of the finest, most pristine and seamless collections of unique, proficiently crafted collections I’ve ever seen. To choose a favourite would be devastatingly daunting and impossible.
