bitefashion The brand expanded its line with fashion eyewear, producing stylish corrective eye and sunglasses in 2007. Five years later, they interpreted trendy classics with Marc Cain Essentials, comprising simple lines, reduced colours and high-quality ma- terials for an elegant yet casual and uncomplicated look. Marc Cain Additions, created in 2014, offered more casual trends in outerwear, dresses, t-shirts, blouses and pants. The following year, bags and shoes were added, and then beauty and fra- grances in 2017. Marc Cain incorporated its sustainability ethos with the ‘Re- think Together’ label during the SS21 season. The pieces com- prised at least 50% more sustainable material selected accord- ing to strict principles and certified independently. They went through an environmentally friendly production process, and producers were also audited for compliance according to their social standards. The brand introduced Marc Cain Pants two years later, offering perfect-fitting trousers for every occasion and silhouette. In August, the brand celebrated its 50th anniversary at its head- quarters with the themed motto ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’. The event, accompanied by a large-scale fashion show, present- ed the anniversary collection. Hollywood actress Diane Kru- ger was the star guest of the evening, joined by Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer, Bettina Zimmermann, Princess Lilly zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, Frauke Ludowig and Nele Ludowig on the front row. Czech supermodel Karolína Kurková opened the show, leading the 49 models from a golden elevator hidden in a tree to walk the collection on the 70-metre-long catwalk. The anniversary collection captured the highlights of the FW23 collection and gave a preview of the SS24 season. Statement pieces such as the Scuba Jersey Leo Blazer, a feminine-waisted two-button blazer in an all-over leopard print made from a stretchy scuba jersey for maximum comfort, made an impression. The light and airy Leo Viscose and Silk Blouse, worn under the jacket, is made from a viscose-silk blend featuring smocked cuffs and pleating on the front with a seamless zip on the back. Another matching garment is the Winder Stretch Jersey Leo Trousers made from stretch jersey. The waistband has an inner ribbed band and is elasticated for a perfect fit. The small pip- ing and 50 years logo on the waistband added special touches, while the side pockets have seamless zips. If you don't want a fully all-over print look, try the Welby Pants with Leo stripes in off-white stretch cotton on the side. It has a wide leg and elastic waistband, providing a comfortable and perfect fit. The 50 years logo appears on the waistband and suc- cinctly on the leg. Light but practical, the elegant Wool Cash- mere Mix Coat has a belt to accentuate the waist, which can be fastened with a press stud. The inside is partially embellished with Leo lining, and one sleeve tab features the 50 years logo. The Coat in Fun Fur is made of cosy, bonded fun fur with the lining featuring a classy Leo style with the bold 50 years logo. It also has a belt to accentuate the waist that can be closed with a snap button. A beautifully knitted and finished in Germany Knitted Dress in granola that would immediately grab your at- tention is made from a stretchy cotton and viscose mix, giving it a body-hugging shape. The neckline and the sleeves are finely knitted and semi-transparent.
