Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom A fter several release delays, the follow-up to the 2018 Aquaman film is finally coming to the big screen in December 2023. James Wan returns to direct and produce Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom with Jason Mo- moa, Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Nicole Kidman reprising their roles as Arthur Cur- ry/Aquaman, Orm/Ocean Master, Mera, Black Mantra and Atlanna in the sequel to the highest grossing DC film of all time. In Aquaman , Black Mantra fails to defeat Aquaman and is still driven to avenge his father’s death. This time, he is more formidable, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and evil force. To defeat him, Aquaman, now the King of Atlantis, a husband and a father, has to turn to his imprisoned brother, Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. They must set aside their differences to protect their kingdom and save Aqua- man’s family and the world from irreversible destruction.
