L ebanese couture designer Tony Ward daz- zled the crowd at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France, with his spring-summer 2023 col- lection. Ward’s looks have recently been in- credibly popular with celebrities and the fashion elite, and this red-carpet-ready selection will surely be no exception. The designer took his time at Lanvin, Dior, and Chloe to heart, not only through the incredible metamorphosis of his family’s couture house but with the spirit of this collection. The runway opened with a bold, slinky, figure-hug- ging evening gown in a classic purple. The most striking aspect of this dress was the geometric shape strands that seemed to float magically above the mod- el’s shoulder, working their way down the bodice of the dress on a nearly invisible mesh backing, giving the illusion that it was only the strategically placed se- quins holding the two halves together.
