The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2023 - Issue 33

bitecars L100 Concept is seamless and flush with a K-tail execu- tion efficient in guiding the vehicle’s aerodynamics. Its el- egant stance in metallic paint and frosted acrylic features a glass roof with the greyhound art piece Lincoln adopt- ed as its mascot in 1925, and reverse-hinged doors lift to give it a true sense of ceremony welcome. The smart wheel covers demonstrate the signature Lincoln Embrace with utilised lighting and sensors to communicate motion, battery life and human presence. One of its most intuitive interactions is sensing the pas- sengers’ approach and greeting them with an orchestrat- ed ‘light symphony’ as the wing doors and the back roof widely open. This humanised directive leads the light to follow the occupants around the vehicle by leveraging an advanced artificial intelligence system and GPS sensors to curate the experience. Final Word This prestigious and longstanding conglomerate behold- ing its past and modern glories, has shown it is not afraid to embrace the future. It tried this with the Marque-X Con- cept, a burnt tangerine pearl convertible prototype with two-door concept pushed the passenger compartment forward to create extra space in the back. It featured an adjustable underbody spoiler to the vehicle speed and a key-card security system that replaced the traditional key. The Lincoln Star Concept SUV is a guiding star and vision for the future portfolio of the marque’s electric vehicles. It has a similar style bonnet that replaces the conventional combustion engine to provide a spacious front trunk for additional storage. Inside, the coast-to-coast curved hori- zontal display creates a digital panorama extending the second-row rear interior display to give the passengers a breathtaking experience. Model L100 Concept is a more dynamic masterpiece pleasing to the eye. It distracts from the classic pose of yesteryear, yet its sweeping illuminated face, low stance, stretched wheelbase, and long glasshouse recalls ele- ments of these classic cars, such as its 1922 muse. Its space-like looks remind me of robotic beings like Gort from The Day The Earth Stood Still or Maximilian from Disney’s Black Hole but in silver. www.lincoln.com
