bitecars VISION OF THE FUTURE W hen Henry Leland started Lincoln Motor Company in 1917, he already had one car marque under his belt, having co-found- ed Cadillac fifteen years earlier. After General Motors ac- quired Cadillac in 1908, he continued to manage the com- pany with his son, Wilfred. Lincoln, named after the 16th US President, Abraham Lincoln, enabled the Lelands to manufacture Liberty motors during the First World War.
