The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2023 - Issue 33

bitecatwalk TERESA B ring on the music! Teresa Helbig’s SS23 collection ‘Helbig Music Festival’ was about the freedom and ex- pression of the style scene at the ever-growing-in-pop- ularity music festivals. Featuring looks that spoke to the more hardcore rock & roll fan set, punk, funk, pop and folks country lovers, this line-up was for the individual looking to make an impression while cheering along from the audience. This jazzed line-up showcased many perfectly crafted, pattern-pieced leath- er cropped jackets, studded and embellished detailing on suedes and gauzy silks in an overall neutral colour scheme with the odd pop of girly pastels here and there. I’m not a big concert and festival goer, but I loved the sweet yet sexy white knitted micro short set of look #6, the dark and edgy look of the mixed chevron patterned sheer black spaghetti strap dress (moody emo in the best way). And finally, look #29’s del- icately crocheted black knitted ankle-length dress with a split front slit. I could see these ensembles walking around events like Coachella. However, as always, Helbig remains ever true and dedicated to her mission of designing pieces that empower and inspire strong women of every size and background. I observed bits and pieces of Wonder Woman's famous costume sprinkled throughout this collection, with a series of pleated mini skirts, star patterns and the iconic bodice shape. So, let the music blare and know that in one of Helbig's designs, you'll always be a rock star. https://teresahelbig.com HELBIG
