bitefilmreview Clock, with no exceptions, showcased her talent through the artistic camera angle choices and genuinely thought of nightclub scenes for pre-Millenium clubbing days. This was a challenge for both director and cinematographer as they shot the film during the Covid-19 pandemic. None- theless, the cinematographer’s background in painting and her fascination with light and colour proved to be a potent combination in her work vividly present in the film. It was a fantastic experience to witness a female filmmak- er opening the iconic 16th annual I WILL TELL Festival at the BFI. Director Lola Atkins stated, “I'm delighted we have phenomenal platforms like I WILL TELL, which has deliberately chosen to be the voice and legs for those who have often not been included in the conversation.” She added, “To be a part of the Opening Gala at the esteemed BFI Southbank, where many great works have graced the screens for an impeccable select few, is an incredible op- portunity.” Justin Johnson, the Lead Programmer at BFI Southbank, says, “We’re delighted to host the opening night of the I WILL TELL International Film Festival at BFI Southbank this year and to support director Lola Atkins and the cast and crew of Clock. ” When it comes to The Bite Magazine , we want you to know it is a must-watch film for everyone resembling the ‘90s scene and for those who enjoy this follow-your-dream story beautifully directed and filmed by a talented group of women.
