bitecatwalk T he Ashi Studio SS22 collection ‘Heaven Scent’ was unveiled through a digital documentary shared in three parts that led to the final presenta- tion, giving the audience a never-before-seen inside look into the designer’s creative process bringing its inspiration to life. The collection created in the couture house’s Paris atelier included 14 looks for women and five for men, marking Ashi Studio’s first presentation catering to both men and women. A symphony of artisans worked in Paris to transform the hand-drawn sketches into hand-crafted couture master- pieces that came to life in a sea of silk in black, white, grey and hints of vivid colours such as red and white. The col- lection featured the Paris-based brand’s classic intricate draped silhouettes that utilise the meticulous craftsman- ship yet revisited it with an eye of minimalism and sim- plicity. The collection featured breathtaking designs such as a white multi-layered, pleated, cropped jacket with pleated, corseted trousers, a magma red bustier, and pencil trou- sers with an ostrich feather overskirt. A long, pleated, cor- seted dress in white organza, black silk draped top, and mermaid skirt.
