bitenightlife The judges enjoyed Clay’s comedy act: they thought he interacted well with the audience and loved his props, including the flimsy pen. Bettsie suggested he close the suitcase after finishing with it as she couldn’t see what was happening. Tempest said there were a series of cabaret styles in the act, such as burlesque and drag, and the engagement with his eye line was exceptional as he made eye contact with the panel. Again, they commented on the lip-syncing and said the act could do without it. One of my favourite acts was the beautiful Pixie Papillon, who took us on a journey to Neverland. She wore a gorgeous green satin fairy tale dress with lace trim and carried a green basket. Based on the fantasy play and film Peter Pan, the question was asked, “What happens when Tinker Bell gets tired of being expected to give away her pixie dust?” While the Peter Pan theme song, The Second Star to the Right, played, Pixie began dancing inno- cently with the elegance of old Hollywood be- fore it got sexier. She removed the trains attached to her wrist before unzipping her dress and taking it off slowly while interacting with the audience. Underneath, she wore a white polka dot bra and briefs, which she then wholly removed to reveal green nipple patches on her breasts. During the act, we heard Wendy ask Tinker Bell to give Peter Pan some dust, prompting Pixie to remove some from her basket and sprinkle it. The song changed as her dance moves got hotter and ended with an R&B tune. Gwendoline praised Pixie Papillon for the beautiful lines of her body, adding it gave a sense of how the costume is used in a perfor- mance. Tempest said her power was exquisite and explained when doing the striptease el- ement in burlesque; it’s difficult to stand tall while revealing yourself. She also said Pixie looked like Tinker Bell. Bettsie loved her long slow walk, floor work and interaction with the audience. She would have loved to have seen slightly bigger glitter and more dust. House of Burlesque assistant Gracie, dressed in a gorgeous lace bustier with a glittery silver bra and decorative necklace, gave the audi- ence a good view of her butt as she swept the glitter off the stage. She snatched every oppor- tunity to show off her assets throughout the evening as she seductively but elegantly bent over. Admittedly, she did have a nice butt and whilst Delores teased her, Gracie savoured the attention and provided some entertainment. After the interval, the second half of Bur- lesque Idol convened. When the fourth act finally ascended to the stage, the audience was amazed and thrilled since she appeared to have problems getting there. Fou Fou Kaboom was dressed as an egg, something the judges commented they had never seen before on the circuit. What amused me was how the per- former was puffing as if it was a considerable effort to get on the stage, but perhaps that was part of her performance. Her platinum blonde hair and heavy make- up reminded me of Christina Aguilera. While Dean Martin and Helen O’Connell’s How D’Ya Like Your Eggs In The Morning from the film Rich, Young and Pretty played, the performer struggled to release her satin gloves from ei- ther side of the egg like a baby chick trying to free itself from the shell. Eventually, it cracked, and she discarded it, wearing a dress with a yellow heart-shaped emblem. Suddenly, she pulled a yellow scarf from the heart-shaped emblem, which appeared well hidden and then slowly stripped down to her white glittery bumless brief with a flap on the
