It was time for dessert! With the help of our servers, we chose Warm Vanilla Bird’s Nest Pastry with pistachio cremeux and hazelnut ice cream and Rose and Lime Meringue with milk crisp and strawberry sorbet. The pastry on the first dessert had a kind of nestled texture decorated with several droplets of the pistachio and delicious ice cream. The meringue was my favourite, enriched with cream and strawberry filling and a couple of strawberries. Looking around the corner, you will find a drinks’ cabinet with several bottles and glasses looking neat and splendid. The space holds a couple of tan sofas facing each other and a wooden table between them with a small potted plant. Behind it is a bar with four tall stools and a series of bottles and glasses in the cabinet. There are also four wooden tables with a round edge and several orangey-brown puff stools along the window area. Dining at Penny Squares was a delightful experi- ence, thanks to the expertise and excellent service given by Mityas and Eleanora. Although it wasn’t overly busy then, it was nice to sit back and enjoy the quiet ambience (although the music was playing) while enjoying prestige presentation and delicious food.
