Global is matte blasted to give it a rock-like appearance with a contrasting outer scallop look in an off-white colour with grey-green markings. This colour is carried across the dial with matte paint complemented with gloss varnished longitude and latitude lines. The hour and minute hands have the same finish as the case in a clean matte blasted steel with white tips and the sec- onds hand in pure white. You’ll notice Global has an alter- native Marloe branding and chamfered date window to keep it looking discreet yet functional. This Japanese Made timepiece with a Seiko NE88a automatic mechanical movement is housed in a polished and brushed bespoke case with sapphire crystal and anti-reflective coating. It has 34 jewels, 45+ hour power reserve and other facilities in- cluding hours, minutes, sweep second and 60-second/12-hour Chronoscope. It also features the hacking function, Diashock anti-shock (which protects the balance wheel pivot from dam- age when the watch is dropped or hit), column wheel and ver- tical clutch. Atlantic Spirit, based on the traditional ‘Flieger’ style aviation watch with a raw aluminium aesthetic, has the same compo- nents as the R34, except the dial is in brushed steel and fea- tures Superluminova on the hands and dial. It’s inspired by the Spirit of St Louis aircraft that carried Charles A. Lindbergh over the Atlantic in 1927. The numerals design on the Flyer takes direct inspiration from the altimeter of the R34 airship with the tangential 4-8 numbers. The matte black dial on the Atlantic Flyer differentiates it from the other models. This traditional yet bold and uncompromis- ing timepiece has a white-on-black colouring and maximum contrast, while the Superluminova C3 gives the dial a lumi- nescent glow in the dark. Atlantic Fortune has pearlescent white and twin black lateral subdials in addition to the usu- al features.
