bitewatches homage to the original trilogy. The Ana-Digi Temp model was first introduced in the 1980s which became popular both in the local Japa- nese market and globally. As the name suggests, this watch combines both analogue and digital elements in a unique design. As you could imagine, the Ana-Digi Temp did more than just display the time: it was a multi- functional watch that included a celsius temper- ature sensor. Thanks to its iconic, retro-futuristic square shape, it was reissued in 2018 in collab- oration with Beams. Today, Citizen has added eight exciting new limited-edition models with designs inspired by popular Star Wars charac- ters such as R2-D2, C-3PO, and Darth Vader to the Ana-Digi Temp line-up. The characters’ elements have been integrated into the mechanical-inspired design including colours and motifs unique to each on the watch face, with the Star Wars logo and character illustrations engraved on the case back. The first two to be released were the Rebel Pilot and Trench Run themed watches which both featured dual time, an alarm, digital time, and temperature and themed subdials. Rebel Pilot has the Rebel Alliance logo and X-wing with Rebel inspired colours and Trench Run features the X-wing and TIE fighter pilot details. Subsequent models include R2-D2, C-3PO, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Stormtrooper and BB- 8TM. R2-D2 features white, blue and red colours and distinctive patterns of the droid’s body as well as a disc-shaped second hand at the top right showing the robot as seen from above. C-3PO’s two analogue dials on the top of the watch, finished in a distinctive gold colour, repre- sent his eyes. The dark lord, Darth Vader watch is designed in his signature black tone with the display at the top right featuring a Death Star-in- spired circular second hand with a green super laser beam indicating each second. Boba Fett’s signature colours are shown on the watch and the display at the top right is homage to his helmet design while the display at the top left includes the Mandalorian symbol. The Stormtrooper model features their iconic helmet on a white dial with a stainless steel brace- let while the super-cute astromech droid that accompanied Poe Dameron on many missions has a yellow-tone dial with orange accents that is reminiscent of the iconic character.
