One of their popular collections ‘Misshapes’ was the subject of a touring exhibition Misshapes: The Making of Tatty Devine curated by the Crafts Council early last year. It explored the brand’s en- trepreneurship, innovative British making and the power of crea- tivity, featuring over 100 pieces from the past 20 years. From the early leather cuffs and piano belts to the giant two-metre versions of their greatest hits, iconic pieces included a lobster, magpies, a huge banana, alongside sketchbooks, photos and flyers. Within the ‘Misshapes’ collection, you will find amazing pieces such as the Fortune Teller Statement Necklace. First seen back in 2014, this interesting design of a pair of tortoiseshell laser-cut hands bejewelled with golden accessories and grasping a glittering iridescent crystal ball on an adjustable gold-tone chain, takes its inspiration from 1950s fortune-tellers and mystic visions. Pair this with the Fortune Teller Earrings or substitute it for the single tor- toiseshell laser-cut hand Fortune Teller Necklace. Lather up with the Iridescent Bubbles Super Statement Necklace with layers of hand-curved iridescent acrylic bubbles pinned and hand-linked to shimmering silver-tone findings and an adjustable chain. The super special, oversized suds cascade from your collar bones to the bottom of your rib cage. A similar design is the Gin Fizz Statement Necklace, an effervescent bib of laser-cut silver glit- ter flecked bubbles jostling against sparkling silver-tone findings and a giant glitter acrylic gin bottle. Get your intergalactic planetary on with the Planets Statement Necklace, a constellation of supersized ringed planets in mesmer- ising marble acrylic, hand-curved and pinned together to demon- strate the twinkling iridescent stars. Cocktail umbrellas may be used to dress a cocktail drink but they can look delightful in jewel- lery such as the Cocktail Umbrella Drop Earrings. These earrings available in mismatched, blue or pink are hand-curved in glossy laser-cut acrylic with a tiki floral print. For AW21, Tatty Devine presented their ‘I’m Only Dreaming’ collection of necklaces, earrings and brooches which encourages women to dream, explore infinity and open their minds. “Travel to the stars with astral dreamers and statement planets, interpret your mind’s meaning with passion flowers and cardinal birds and fall deeper into slumber with sleeping pills.” In this collection, you will discover a hypnotic palette of shimmer laser cut acrylic, opal- escent pearls and cosmic crystals. Feast your eyes on jewellery pieces such as the Sleeping Pills State- ment Necklace with laser-cut acrylic pill packets in acid bright pinks, bold blue and shining mirrors in golden, silver and red shades. Other designs include the Star Upon Her Shoulder Neck- lace; Passion Flower Statement Necklace and Earrings; ZZZZ Necklace; and Cardinal Dream Brooch and Earrings. In honour of the late David Bowie’s alter-ego Ziggy Stardust, Tatty Devine has created a star-studded collection with a feminine edge. Suffragette City Necklace, inspired by The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust, has a pink pearl banner with the song title layered over a rose gold ribbon and suspended from an adjustable gold-tone chain. The Aladdin Sane Bolt Earrings and Brooch featuring the infamous lightning glitter bolt in blue and red is homage to Bowie’s iconic make-up on the cover of the Aladdin Sane album. Add a pop of Bowie to your look with the Ziggy Heart Necklace, inspired by the icon’s alter-ego and the Tokyo Pop vinyl body- suit designed by Kansai Yamamoto. In homage to David Bowie’s fictional astronaut, the unique Space Oddity Necklace has a shining space helmet laser-cut and etched with the song title in a space-age silver mirror and suspended on an adjustable silver-tone chain. Let everyone know you’re a Da- vid Bowie fan with the Bowie Necklace, designed with his name laser-cut in bedazzling black acrylic, hand layered over glittering gold dust. Go wild with the Bowie Tiger Brooch or Necklace, both inspired by one of David Bowie’s iconic photoshoots with Masayoshi Sukita and styled by designer Kansai Yamamoto.
