Born in the ‘90s, Ecuador-born creative director Liz- beth Cevallos was inspired by the pop culture of music, art, and architecture of that era. Interested in art since she was a child, she set her sights on learning and be- coming an artistic creator. Also, travelling at a young age gave her some inspired insights. “Since [we were] young, our parents always took us on trips. It was a thing of the weekend, sometimes more than that - lo- cally or overseas. That’s where a great part of my inspi- ration comes from - music, sights, forms, colours - all shaping my love for the world, my love for life.” In 2011, she moved to Barcelona, Spain, to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer, which came to fruition in 2015. In that same year, she received the Best Fashion Collection Award at her school, IED in Barcelona, and was featured on IT.com in July and then NE02.com in December. As an emerging designer, Liz- beth participated in the 080 Runaway Show, where she presented her senior year collection that was inspired by the merging of fashion design and architecture called Farkiteture. She worked for Spanish designer Miriam Ponsa as an assistant designer from 2014 to 2015 before moving to Madrid the following year in the hope of creating her own brand and learning more about the business of fashion. Here, she gained an MBA (Master in Business Administration) specialising in Fashion Management and three years later, a Master in Digital Business and Innovative Technology, which inspired her even more to create a brand that would provide innovation to the world. Older sister, Gianella had similar influences in music, art, video-games, and pop culture growing up in the Cristina Lloyd is taken on a journey to the 1990s with Glim Studios’ patches from that era and discovers their casual-wear collection.
