biteplants With a slim body like a tulip, The Edith is the first plant pot that Anther + Moss launched. It’s crafted in tune with nature and constructed from unlined concrete. Available in two sizes: 12 cm and 14 cm, it’s the perfect companion to tall, sculptural plants such as the African and southern Asia native Sansevieria (Snake Plant); eastern and southeastern Asian Aspidistra (Cast Iron Plant); and the South and West African native Euphorbia Acrurensis (Desert Candle Cactus) but grown in Florida and other similar tall cactuses. Beautifully rustic-looking, The Ambrose is a rectangular, con- crete plant pot. It excels in “two situations: the first with a few cacti or succulents planted together and the second when it's planted with something that will spread and fill the entire pot.” Another matching plant is Fittonia (Nerve Plant), hailing from Peru and other areas of the South American rain forest; it has striking leaves of pink and green, white and green, or green and red. The Bentham is available in the square concrete Brick, round or square concrete Charcoal or square concrete Ash. Square pots work well with plants with long and pointed or angular leaves, and round pots look good with most plants, but prefera- bly those with rounded leaf shapes. Brick pots particularly suit predominantly dark green or verging towards black plants, and Charcoal looks good with dark or rich green plants. Ash is a very versatile colour that matches most plants, particu- larly bright colours or those with lots of variegation. Plants such as Asparagus Fern, Anthurium Clarinervium (White Veined Clarinervium), Alocasia Amazonica (Amazon Elephant’s Ear), Alocasia Zebrina (Zebra Tiger Plant), Begonia ‘Black Mam- ba’, Calathea Lancifolia (Rattlesnake Plant), Calathea Triostar, Begonia Maculata (Polka Dot Plant), Codiaeum Variegatum (Joseph’s Coat) and Croton Nervia would be suitable for The Bentham. Another rustic sensation is The Burbank, a set of three square concrete plant pots suited to cacti or succulents. Anther + Moss suggests an Alocasia/Calathea/Syngonium combo but warn that the pots are very porous, so it is easy to let the soil dry out a little too much. The Carver is a delightful tall square concrete plant pot in a warm neutral colour. It is suitable for taller plants but can work well with smaller trailer plants that tumble down the pot, such as Ceropegia (String of Hearts) or most tall/thin cacti. In a rounded Brick, Concrete, Charcoal or Ash plant pot, The Dalton will add immense character to your home. The plants that match this particular pot include Aloe Paradisicum (Juras- sic Dino), Fishbone Cactus, Monstera Deliciosa (Swiss Cheese Plant), and Alocasia Reginula (Black Velvet). Also, Ficus Elas- tica Abidjan and Ficus Elastica Belize, or any other dark colour rubber plants, Red or Pink Aglaonema (Chinese Evergreen), Asparagus Fern and Anthurium Clarinervium.
