The Bite Magazine - Spring/Summer 2021 - Issue 29

bitewatches This year, the watch brand unveiled its fourth maestro, The Bea- tles 40 mm timepiece called ‘Let It Be’, taken from the Fab Four’s twelfth and final studio album. The watch is designed with a skel- eton movement for the first time, revealed by a subtle, UK-fig- urative cut-out and has a 38-hour power reserve. The overall image of the watch plays on the contrast between the anthracite dial and the rose gold plated hands and baton indices, received in particular, at 4 o’clock. It has a four-baton index representing the four Beatles members, with the watch hands centred on the city of Liverpool as a re- minder of where the band’s iconic story began. An alliance of innovation, watchmaking expertise and solid musical commit- ment, the ‘Let It Be’ maestro model carries a timeless message of optimism. It recalls the spirit of an entire era reviving images of an impromptu concert on the rooftop at Apple Studios, which was their last ever live performance. The new ‘Let It Be’ addition to the Raymond Weil Music Icons limited edition collection symbolises the band’s timelessness. With the official Beatles logo at 9 o’clock balancing the brand logo at 3 o’clock, the band symbol is further revealed on the case- back. The timepiece has a decorated automatic calibre RW4200 movement, sapphire crystal glass, tan vegan nubuck-effect leath- er strap with a double push-button folding clasp and water resist- ance of 50 metres. The ‘Let It Be’ limited edition timepiece is available online on the website. https://raymond-weil.co.uk Images courtesy of Grove Communications
