Kra- sinksi had no mercy and puts everyone, including the new- born, in uncomfortable danger. The performances remain sound and intense, especially with emphatic and insightful young actors like Jupe and Simmonds who are more than ca- pable of elevating the contemporary film and delivering some pretty loud thrills. Djimon Hounsou and Scoot McNairy also lend their unique presences to this movie, and I feel like they deserve to be mentioned here. Great cinematography, brilliantly composed score, engaging script and A-lister actors all brilliantly orchestrated by the di- rector; Krasinksi proves his intelligence and his non-subver- sive priorities in writing and directing this sequel. He dwells on core themes of human resilience and family devotion and sacrifices. His sequel is intelligent and resourceful, just like its characters throughout the entire movie. A Quiet Place II emo- tionally experiences vast strengths in unexpected moments, which the director generously gives. The film grips strength- ened with every note of Beltrami's score, bringing in the orig- inal's meditative themes and explosive sounds to intense life- or-death scenes. What else can I say?
