D anish pop megastar MØ makes her triumphant return with the new single ‘Live To Survive’ out on RCA.The singer who has collaborated with Iggy Azalea, Charli XCX,Major Lazer and DJ Snake released her first solo track co-writ- ten with Caroline Ailin and produced by SG Lewis following the critically acclaimed album Forever Neverland. The trio created a track with all the components of a euphoric, empower- ing anthem - an exhilarating baseline with hope-filled lyrics. The video for ‘LiveTo Survive’ directed by Joanna Nordahl (Four Tet, Tove Styrke, Say Lou Lou) and shot in the British countryside, sees MØ take on the character Ophelia. It intro- duces some of the singer’s concepts for her highly anticipated new album: rebirth, transformation, acceptance and strength. “It’s very much about pulling yourself through a shitty time and coming back stronger on the other side,” MØ explained. “But it’s also about forgiving yourself for those mistakes. It’s going to happen a few times in your life, so you need to get back on the horse.” Following the release of her buzzy debut album No Mythologies to Follow in 2014, MØ has achieved global domination with Major Lazer and DJ Snake collaboration ‘Lean On’.The hit was named by Spotify as the most- streamed song (it was overtaken only by Drake) and one of the best-selling singles of all time, with global sales of over 13.1 million and racked up well over three billion streams. www.momomoyouth.com bitenewmusic MØ Live to Survive Image courtesy of Satellite414 via Riccardo Castano
