Admirable Eras The Vintage Ring Company takes Cristina Lloyd to the past with their collection of vintage style engagement rings that each has a story. W hen award-winning ethical jewellery designer Arabel Lebrusan and jewellery journal- ist Claire Roberts first met in London, they discovered they shared a passion for jewellery from the past. Along with their business partner Philippe Kin- delis, the two women founded The Vintage Ring Company in 2018 to inspire others with original and affordable engage- ment ring designs from days gone by that they believe would go on to write beautiful new stories of their own. “Our rings represent more than 100 years of jewellery making, including the much- loved Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco eras, as well as subsequent decades that are remembered for their distinc - tive designs (think the 1950s and 1960s),” the Vintage Ring Company explained. “Our pre- loved vintage style engagement rings, crafted in the 1980s and 1990s, but inspired by designs from the past, offer another way to get the vintage look.” The brand provides an insight into each era of when antique and vintage engagement rings were created, beginning with Queen Victoria’s reign from 1837 to 1901. “Queen Victo - ria was a passionate jewellery lover and was gifted some of her most treasured posses - sions by her husband, Prince Albert, who she adored.” Her most significant jewellery piece was a snake ring designed by her husband and presented to her when their engagement was announced in 1839. bitejewellery The Vintage Ring Company
