The Bite Magazine - Autmn/Winter 2020 - Issue 28
Or, you can go for the ultimate Freakshakes! With crazy names like The Choctas- tic Nutty Freakshow and Freak-Rex, there’s more reason to take the plunge and experience something new.We decided to try Piece of Cake: forest fruit sorbet blended with milk, Creams soft vanilla ice cream, white chocolate sauce, topped with a fantastic piece of red velvet cake, and finished with mini marshmallows, berry compote, and a Creams wafer. While we tried to work out how they managed to balance the piece of red velvet cake so perfectly, we were also wondering how we were going to approach this fantastic creation. First, we detached the cake, which was fresh and delicious with creamy layers. Then we had the strawberry and berry compote which provided a lovely fruity taste that prepared us for the finale of the Freakshake. This thoroughly enjoyable drink was fruity, dreamy, and pure indulgence. It was truly like a dessert in itself. Bubblelicious sundae was the last dessert we had. It is made with blue and pink bubble gum gelato, and Creams soft serve vanilla ice cream, drizzled with bub- blegum sauce, strawberry sauces, 100s and 1000s sprinkles, popping candy, and a Creams wafer. The dessert was beyond sweetness, colourful like a rainbow, with the crunch of the hundreds and thousands sprinkles and delicious with the taste of pink ice cream coloured by the strawberry sauce. It was one that you can take your time enjoying. Diners can treat their tastebuds to the classic Creams Knickerbocker Glory with a twist: chocolate chip gelato and strawberry gelato with mango slices, fresh banana slices and fresh strawberries, topped with loads of Creams vanilla soft ice cream, strawberry sauce, and a Creams wafer. Another delightful looking sundae is Hot ’n’ Cold Chocolate Fudge Volcano, a hot chocolate fudge cake with a mound of Creams soft vanilla ice cream, covered with toffee sauce and milk chocolate shav- ings, and a Creams wafer. There is a wide choice for vegans on the menu. You can choose fromAmalfi Lemon, Forest Fruit, Alphonso Mango, and Chocolate Absolute sorbets. Berry, Chocolate, and Mango & Coconut waffles; Chocolate Chunk and Strawberry & Choc Chip cookie doughs; Fruit and Banana & Chocolate crepes; or Berry, Mango, and Choc- olate sundaes as well as vegan milkshakes that can be blitzed with soya milk from the sorbet section. Also, for cake lovers, Creams has introduced bakery goods from The Cheesecake Factory. They also offer a selection of cold and hot drinks including the usual soft drinks like Coca Cola, 7up, and Fanta; Slush Puppies in Blue Raspberry, Strawberry or mixed flavours; and coffee and tea. As well as the classic hot chocolate, you can enjoy signature drinks likeWhite Hot Chocolate with white chocolate sauce, topped with whipped cream and cookie crumbs; or Hot Chocolate Deluxe with milk chocolate sauce, topped with whipped cream, milk chocolate shavings, and mini marshmallows. We were totally delighted (and overly sugared) with our Creams ice cream adven- ture, although it was a struggle at times due to the number of desserts that we had.The service was speedy and precise, and Umar did a fantastic job of looking after us and making suggestions of which ones we should try. Creams have indeed revolutionised the art of enjoying desserts in a comfortable setting. Nowadays, you do not have to necessarily have a meal before enjoying the delights of ice creams, waffles, or crepes.
